About the show
UNDER THE SKY OF PARIS
On October 18, 2026, the concert “Under the Sky of Paris” will take place at Stodoła Club in Warsaw — a musical tribute to the legends of French chanson performed by the Champs Elysées Chansons Françaises Orchestra.
The timeless hits of Charles Aznavour, Joe Dassin, Édith Piaf, Dalida, Mireille Mathieu, Michel Legrand, and other great artists of the French music scene will be presented in elegant jazz-symphonic arrangements performed by outstanding French vocalists.
Parisian romance, magnificent music, and the atmosphere of true French elegance come together in the concert program “Under the Sky of Paris,” bringing the golden era of French chanson back to the stage. The repertoire features songs made famous by Charles Aznavour, Joe Dassin, Édith Piaf, Dalida, Mireille Mathieu, Sacha Distel, Yves Montand, and many other legendary performers. These beloved melodies take on a new dimension through sophisticated jazz-symphonic arrangements created especially for the orchestra by composer Jean-Christophe Dicostanzo.
The Champs Elysées Chansons Françaises project was founded in 2015 by Laurent and Katarzyna Gérard as a tribute to the great tradition of French chanson. A special place in its history belongs to the artistic legacy of Bernard Gérard, the renowned French composer, arranger, and conductor who collaborated with Charles Aznavour. Bernard Gérard is the father of Laurent Gérard, the project’s artistic director and producer, creating a unique artistic continuity that connects generations.
The project’s musical director is Laurent Gérard — a jazz drummer, composer, and producer whose vision seamlessly combines the classic spirit of French chanson with jazz freedom and contemporary stage energy.
Special guests of the evening will be French artists Anne Carrere and Stéphane Bayol. Anne Carrere is widely regarded as one of the finest contemporary interpreters of Édith Piaf’s repertoire and has successfully performed in more than 30 countries worldwide. Stéphane Bayol captivates audiences with his expressive voice, charismatic stage presence, and authentic French charm.
The program includes more than 30 world-famous songs, ranging from touching ballads to spectacular stage hits that have become symbols of an entire era. It is an evening of love, nostalgia, passion, and timeless music.
“Under the Sky of Paris” is more than a concert — it is a musical journey to the heart of France, where every song becomes a story and every performance a scene from a great romantic film.
