About the show
HOMIN Choir live in Warsaw - 11 May
On 11 May, Warsaw will host HOMIN Choir at Muzeum Historii Polski (Cytadela Warszawska, ul. Gwardii 1, 01-538). This concert is built as a full emotional journey - from rooted Ukrainian choral traditions to modern concert dramaturgy designed for today's audience.
ABOUT HOMIN
HOMIN Choir is a professional Ukrainian ensemble focused on developing contemporary choral culture while preserving national musical identity. The collective combines artistic discipline with a clear cultural mission: to make Ukrainian vocal heritage understandable and moving for international listeners.
Established in Lviv in 1988 at the regional branch of the Music Society of Ukraine, HOMIN has spent decades performing in Ukraine and internationally. The choir's touring map includes the USA, France, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Serbia, Spain, and Sweden.
In partnership with the Culture Department of the Lviv City Council, HOMIN has also co-created educational and cultural initiatives abroad and in Lviv, including the Lviv Meetings International Choral Music Festival and the regional festival Praise the Lord from Heaven.
REPERTOIRE
The choir's repertoire moves across multiple layers of choral tradition: Ukrainian composers, folk and insurgent songs, European and American choral works, and contemporary stage programs. HOMIN is widely recognized for thematic Christmas concerts, spiritual programs, patriotic repertoires, and modern-format choral projects.

HOMIN AND THE LVIV ORGAN HALL
A major creative milestone came in 2023, when HOMIN joined the Lviv Organ Hall. This partnership united the production experience and artistic resources of both institutions. In August 2023, Vadym Yatsenko became chief conductor and artistic director, shaping a renewed sound and performance language for the ensemble.
In this new phase, HOMIN represented Ukraine at the International Choir Festival in Lund, Sweden. At the Lviv Organ Hall, the choir now regularly premieres new programs and appears in collaborative projects with soloists, guest conductors, and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic. Performances are also published on the Ukrainian Live Classic YouTube channel.
According to Ukrinform's national Infobum-Classical Music 2024 ranking, HOMIN was named the best choir in Ukraine in 2024. In 2025, the ensemble delivered 200 performances in Ukraine and Europe; in 2026, it plans over 250 concerts across Ukraine, Europe, the UK, the USA, and Canada.
